Problems of Current Guedel Airway
In response to these problems, Dami medical company innovated this new soft guedel oropharyngeal airway devices, which is also multi-function type opa airway.
Guedel oropharyngeal airway as one of the oral airways device is a great invention, but it has some tricky problems in use.
For example, during the recovery period from anesthesia, there is a certain probability that the tongue falling back will occur after extubation, or the airway might be obstructed due to excessive oral secretions. In these cases, the doctor needs to hold the mandible in time or reposition the oropharyngeal tube or nasopharyngeal airway, or even re-intubate when necessary.
