Innovative Design of the Dami Gastroscope LMA

● Large-Channel Semi-Open Design: This design significantly widens the channel diameter, allowing for easy passage of a gastroscope and ensuring smooth operation.

● 107-Degree Anatomical Curve: The 107° curvature conforms to the anatomy of the oral cavity, pharynx, and larynx, facilitating smoother insertion and reducing compression and damage to surrounding tissues.

● Cuffless Design with Inward-Sealing Contact Surface: This design provides a high sealing pressure during positive pressure ventilation. It eliminates the sealing issues and risk of displacement associated with traditional inflatable masks, such as those caused by under-inflation or over-inflation.

● Concave Capsule Shape for Enhanced Conformity: The concave shape allows the inward-facing contact surface to fit more closely against the pharyngeal and laryngeal tissues, forming a stable and effective seal.

● “M”-Shaped Protrusion for Accurate Positioning: The “M”-shaped structure at the front ensures precise positioning. Once inserted, it holds the mask securely in place, minimizing the risk of displacement even with changes in patient position or external forces, thereby ensuring stable ventilation and surgical safety.

Limitations of Existing Laryngeal Mask Airways

Existing laryngeal mask airways present several limitations in gastrointestinal endoscopy. Their small drainage tube diameter often restricts or prevents the passage of a gastroscope. Additionally, poor conformity between the cuff and laryngeal structures increases the risk of air leaks and displacement. The device curvature is frequently not optimized for the anatomical characteristics of Chinese patients, further compromising fit and function. Moreover, the reliance on an inflatable cuff design introduces inherent risks of inadequate sealing and potential displacement during use.
