Guided Type Suction Catheter

Current problems in endotracheal intubation

Current suction catheter only have the function to remove secretions. As each patients’ glottis position is different, the current endotracheal tube does not have a fixed shape, which brings inconvenience to the tracheal intubation.

Dami guided type suction catheter

To solve the challenging problems in current intubation process, Dami's cooperate with the famous "China West Hospital" to developed this tuided type suction catheter.

• Shaping function

DAMI guided suction catheter is designed with a built-in a stainless steel wire in a sealed channel. After inserting the suction catheter into the endotracheal tube, the endotracheal tube can be easily shaped according to the position of the patient’s glottis, which increases the insertion accuracy and improves the success rate and efficiency of endotracheal intubation.

• Suction of secretions

There is an independent suction channel, it can suck out the secretions from the throat during intubation, thus could locate the glottis of patients accurately.

In the process of lowering the shaped endotracheal tube into the glottis, secretions tend to accumulate in the part provoked by the laryngeal lens. These secretions prevent doctors from watching the glottis clearly for intubation. In addition, during endotracheal intubation, these secretions will enter the lower airway of the glottis along with the endotracheal tube, contaminating the airway and causing infection.

Therefore, removing secretions helps locate the position of the glottis, improve the accuracy of intubation, and prevent the airway from contamination.

• Designed with an individual breathing channel

DAMI catheter also have an independent breathing channel. It use for supplying oxygen while the patients suffer oxygen deprivation, helps successful tracheal intubation.
